THE STARTER REPORTED: a) OUR COYS (AUS) (C Zackey) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, TREND MASTER (D Schwarz) which was hard ridden to stay in touch with the field, ducked out sharply and refused to gallop. Thereafter TREND MASTER took no further part in the race. This gelding has been suspended in terms of Rule 93.2.5 until such time as it proves tractable jumping and galloping away from the stalls and around the turn with a companion on a raceday. Trainer M N Houdalakis advised (LA). b) In view of the performance of REUNION (G Lerena), (betting 18/10, distance 7,25 lengths), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. When afforded the opportunity to place on record any factors which may have affected the performance of REUNION, Jockey Lerena was at a loss to explain the performance. He stated that the horse had travelled very well in running, moved up at the 300m into a challenging position and thereafter had capitulated and not gone on with his effort. Jockey Lerena's explanation was corroborated by the patrol film of the race. c) WILLOW'S WISH (L Hewitson), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S G Tarry advised (RS). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) PRINCE EVLANOFF raced with a compression mask on (declared 14 September 2021 at 09H57). THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) REUNION examined post-race, nothing obvious detected. b) CATEGORY FOUR blowing post-race. SCRATCHED: a) WESTERN FORT off feed (Trainer) (Rule 53.5 applies).
