THE STARTER REPORTED: a) During the loading process, ESHRAAQ (D Schwarz) broke through the front gate of the starting stalls. ESHRAAQ was restrained by the Rider, returned to the start, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon, passed fit to race and reloaded. The starting stall certificate for this filly has been withdrawn. Trainer M N Houdalakis was advised (LS). b) COVERMEINSUNSHINE (W Kennedy) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) GLOBAL LOUISE (S Khumalo) hung in from the 400m. Jockey S Khumalo appeared before the board, was shown the patrol film of the race and, although the Stipendiary Board was satisfied that he was sufficiently clear of other runners, he was advised to take earlier corrective measures in order to keep his mount straight in races. b) COVERMEINSUNSHINE (W Kennedy) hung in from the 250m. Thereafter, at approximately the 200m, Jockey W Kennedy briefly dropped his right-side rein. c) At approximately the 200m, the cushion material flap from Jockey S Khumalo's (GLOBAL LOUISE) crop became detached. d) In view of the Starter's report with regard to ESHRAAQ, this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as she proves tractable loading with a companion. Suspension dates: 22nd September 2021 to the 29th September 2021. ESHRAAQ may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer M N Houdalakis was advised. e) GLOBAL LOUISE (S Khumalo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer B D Botes advised (LN). f) MONASHADA (K Matsunyane), placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer A Ndzilana, acting on behalf of Trainer M F de Kock, advised (MS). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) JACKIE SPARKS raced with a compression mask (declared 15 September 2021 at 10H16). b) MONASHADA raced equipped with ear muffs (declared 17 September 2021 at 11H30). c) COVERMEINSUNSHINE raced with a compression mask (declared 20 September 2021 at 09H16). THE VETERINARY SURGEON HAD NO REPORTS. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS. DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: None.
