THE STARTER REPORTED: a) ARENDELLE (L Tarentaal) was restless in the stalls and kicked the back gate. b) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) After being dislodged in Race 3 and being replaced on his mount in Race 4, Apprentice J Solomons was re-examined by the course medical officer and was cleared fit to continue riding. b) SNOW DRAGON (R Khathi) over raced in the early and middle stages. c) Leaving the 700m FEARLESS TRIP (D Ashby) took an awkward stride after clipping the heels of GRAND PRINCESS (L Mxothwa) which initially rolled out and then rolled in. d) ARENDELLE (L Tarentaal) raced wide without cover on the bend. e) VERONIQUE (G Cheyne) was hanging out from the 200m. f) Jockey C Zackey, the rider of SUPER SIRI, reported this filly did not stride out freely in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine. g) Jockey R Khathi, the rider of SNOW DRAGON, reported this filly coughed post-race. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine. h) Trainer B Crawford was charged with a contravention of Rule 8.3.1 in that he failed to have available the registered colours of the owner/s of the horse GRAND PRINCESS. Trainer B Crawford signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R250,00 i) SANTA MARIA, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Bass-Robinson was advised.
