THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) ROYAL MONARCH (S Moodley) over-raced in the early and middle stages. b) BROADWAY (R Fourie) raced fiercely in the early and middle stages. c) In the concluding stages, RED SOLE (T Godden) was carried in, on at least 2 occasions, when awkwardly placed on the inside of TENACIOUS TIME (G Wright) which was hanging in from the 300m. d) ROYAL MONARCH (S Moodley), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
