THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SINGFOSUSIE (R Munger) was stubborn loading and thereafter jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. b) LOVE BITE (G Lerena) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. c) SPLENDID MOON (B Nyawo) was slow losing two lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) During the running of this race the safety pin on Apprentice M H Zuma's (FLAG OF ROSETTA) left-side stirrup leather failed, thereafter, in the pull-up area, the stirrup leather became detached from the saddle. b) FLAG OF ROSETTA (*M H Zuma), which hung out from 300m, shifted out sharply away from the crop in the concluding stages. c) In view of the performance of WHAT A MIRACLE (W Kennedy), (distance 26,20 lengths, betting 14/10), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report, WHAT A MIRACLE is suspended indefinitely in terms of Rule 93.1. Veterinary report required prior to entry. WHAT A MIRACLE is required to perform a gallop to the satisfaction of the NHA veterinary department prior to her next engagement. e) SINGFOSUSIE (R Munger), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
