THE STARTER REPORTED: a) TWOSIDESTOASTORY (C Maujean) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) POET MASTER (B Nyawo) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start, GENERAL HANCOCK (W Kennedy), which jumped outwards, and TWOSIDESTOASTORY (C Maujean), which jumped inwards, came together and bumped. b) BROADWAY TUNE (*P Mxoli) hung in from the 300m. c) ABLAAN (C Zackey) shifted out away from the crop in the concluding stages. d) Jockey D Schwarz reported that he felt something amiss with LULU'S BOY in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. e) Jockey W Kennedy reported that GENERAL HANCOCK made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. f) ABLAAN (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer A Ndzilana, acting on behalf of Trainer M F de Kock, advised (RS). g) LAZY GUY (S Brown), placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
