THE STARTER REPORTED A) V V POWER was nervous in the stalls and was slow into stride. B) IDEAL VIEW was withdrawn by Course Veterinary Surgeon (bolted). C) ARCTIC ADVANCE and BOND were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED A) As the loading process commenced IDEAL VIEW became restless at the start, dislodging Apprentice Y Ramzan and thereafter, bolted the course. B) BORN A STAR (R Fourie) over-raced in the early stages. C) SUPER FUN (X Ndlovu) raced green. D) Jockey G Cheyne reported that he felt something amiss with ARCTIC ADVANCE in the running. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. E) Jockey C Maujean reported that BOND did not stride out freely in the running. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. F) Trainer J P Nel signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 10.5.6.3 in that he failed to notify the Chairman of the Stipendiary Board within 2 days of SUPER FUN entering his training establishment that it is a gelding.
