THE STARTER REPORTED A) DEEP RIVER WOMAN, SERIOUS FUN, SACRED IBIS and SILVIA LOUISE were slow into stride. B) SHEEBA DARLING was withdrawn by the Course Veterinary Surgeon. C) VIRTUOSA was stubborn loading. D) CIANNA was nervous in the stalls and slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED A) DANCING GIRL (C Maujean) was baulked for a clear run from the 600m to the 500m. Thereafter, DANCING GIRL had to steady momentarily off the heels of SILVIA LOUISE (L Mxothwa) which switched in to avoid the heels of WORLD SQUARED (L Bester) which had come to the end of its run. B) Jockey G Cheyne reported that he felt something amiss with CIANNA in the running and did not persevere with his ride from the 400m. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. C) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning SHEEBA DARLING, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this filly is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Trainer G D Smith was advised. D) Jockey R Munger signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 66.4 in that as the rider of QUEEN LOUISE, he weighed back in, in excess of 1kg over the weight that he was declared out at. A penalty of a R1000 fine was imposed. E) The winner LEGEND HAS IT was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis, Trainer J P Nel advised (SP). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES A) QUEEN LOUISE raced equipped with a tongue tie (10:15 - 06/10/2021). B) SACRED IBIS raced equipped with a compression mask (10:25 - 07/10/2021). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER A) WORLD SQUARED Jockey L Bester carried 0.5 Kg overweight, weighed out at 54.9 Kgs. B) QUEEN LOUISE Jockey R Munger carried 0.5 Kg overweight, weighed out at 52.9 Kgs. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED A) CIANNA not striding out left hind. B) SHEEBA DARLING withdrawn, unilateral (left) epistaxis 60 days suspension applies. C) QUEEN LOUISE blood in mouth.
