THE STARTER REPORTED: a) POMODORO'S JET (K de Melo) was restless in the stalls, jumped slow losing one length. b) AULD MUG (D Schwarz) and SURJAY (R Khathi) jumped slow, losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) THE FUTURIST (L Mxothwa), which raced green, was difficult to settle in the early stages. b) Leaving the 400m AULD MUG (D Schwarz), which raced green, was steadied and directed to the outside of STATE OF SHOCK (O Noach) when unable to secure a run between the inside running rail and STATE OF SHOCK (O Noach), which was hanging in. Thereafter AULD MUG (D Schwarz) shifted in and had to be steadied for a number of strides when close to the heels of STATE OF SHOCK (O Noach) at the 250m. c) CANADA SQUARE (G Cheyne), POMODORO'S JET (K de Melo) and SURJAY (R Khathi) raced green. d) POLTERGEIST, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
