ANNATJIE, UFO and PRETTY POPULAR were slow into stride. DIVA FAUSTINA jumped outwards leaving the stalls. Apprentice Dicken, the rider of DESERT KITTEN, accidentally dropped his crop at approximately the 400m. Apprentice Juglall, the rider of BLACK TIE, briefly dropped his left side rein at approximately the 250m. Apprentice Juglall signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined for contravention, read with Guideline M on the use of the crop, in that he hit the horse BLACK TIE more than 12 times in the entire race. In view of the performance from BLACK FERRARI, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. Trainer Fortune was requested to report back on the condition of BLACK FERRARI on return to the stables. GOLDEN SPIRAL was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. UFO raced equipped with a Cornell collar. Vet: DESERT KITTEN - fatigued. BLACK FERRARI - examined post-race, nothing obvious detected. Scratched: BERRY FLAMBEAU - elevated temperature. SENECA FALLS - lame right hind.
