THE STARTER REPORTED: a) During the loading process, the bridle on PERFECT TRUST (G Cheyne) broke and had to be replaced, causing a delay. b) PERFECT TRUST (G Cheyne) was reluctant to load and restless in the stalls. c) HYDE PARK CORNER (D Schwarz) jumped awkwardly outwards and carried HELENCANUCOPE (O Noach) out. Thereafter HYDE PARK CORNER (D Schwarz) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly after the start SUCH LUCK (A Marcus) was steadied off the heels of COSTA SMERALDA (A Andrews) when brushed outwards by MI MI APPLE PIE (R Khathi). b) Approaching the 800m HYDE PARK CORNER (D Schwarz) rolled out away from the inside running rail and had to be steadied away from the heels of DAWNOFANEWDAY (K de Melo). c) GLOBAL GODDESS (A Domeyer) raced wide without cover on bend. d) Approaching 400m HELENCANUCOPE (O Noach) was inconvenienced when carried out by DAWNOFANEWDAY (K de Melo) which shifted out away from COSTA SMERALDA (A Andrews). e) In view of the report from the Starter regarding PERFECT TRUST (G Cheyne), Trainer AE Sands will be advised to have this filly re schooled before her next engagement in terms of Rule 61.6.10. f) The stewards inspected the bridle that was originally fitted to PERFECT TRUST (G Cheyne) and were satisfied that the bridle had been in good working order. g) SHE'S A RAINBOW, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer B Crawford was advised. (CvA) h) PERFECT TRUST, the second-placed horse, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AE Sands was advised.
