THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SUITED CONNECTOR (*J Solomons) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) SUITED CONNECTOR over-raced in the early stages. Thereafter, Apprentice J Solomons reported that this gelding changed stride continually in the running. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. b) LEADING LAD (M Yeni) hung out around the turn. c) SPARKLING WATER (L Hewitson), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
