THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) MOTOWN MAGIC (G Lerena) was stubborn loading and unruly in the stalls. The starting stall certificate for this colt has been withdrawn. Assistant Trainer A Ndzilana, acting on behalf of Trainer M F de Kock, advised (LS).
b) MOTOR CITY HITMAN (W Kennedy) jumped outwards leaving the stalls.
c) LINCOLN COUNTY (Wes Marwing) jumped inwards leaving the stalls.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) Approaching the 400m, WAVE WARRIOR (M Yeni) and MOTOR CITY HITMAN (W Kennedy) were carried in marginally by MOTOWN MAGIC (G Lerena), which rolled in.
b) Jockey R Danielson reported that KOMPROMAT changed stride continually in the running.
The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding.
c) Jockey Wes Marwing reported that LINCOLN COUNTY made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt.
d) In view of the Starter's report with regard to MOTOWN MAGIC, this colt's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading with a companion.
Suspension dates: 13 October 2021 to 19 October 2021. MOTOWN MAGIC may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Assistant Trainer A Ndzilana, acting on behalf of Trainer M F de Kock, advised.
e) MOTOWN MAGIC (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
