THE STARTER REPORTED: a) SO THEY SAY (*J Solomons) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. b) PROCRASTINATOR (M Yeni) was slow losing one length. c) GRAND ESCAPE (C Zackey) was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Shortly before the finish line, PROCRASTINATOR (M Yeni) and THE CAMBO (S Khumalo), which shifted in away from the crop, came together and brushed. b) Jockey S Khumalo reported that THE CAMBO changed stride continually in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) WINE TASTING (*X Jacobs), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer P A Peter advised (LN). When questioned regarding the improved performance of WINE TASTING (*X Jacobs), Trainer P A Peter explained to the Board that, in his opinion, this filly had been better suited to the distance of today's race as well as racing around the turn. He has undertaken, where possible, to race this filly over a similar course and distance in future. JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) ZABARJAD (AUS) raced without pacifiers (declared 12 October 2021 at 05H16).
