THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CAPTAIN AND MASTER (*J Solomons) refused to jump. The starting stall certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn. Trainer S G Tarry advised (PHvdW). b) SHANGO (G Lerena) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey M Yeni reported that he felt something amiss with ALIBI GUY in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. b) Jockey R Danielson reported that he felt something amiss with TREE TUMBO in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. c) In view of the Starter's report with regard to CAPTAIN AND MASTER, this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading with a companion. Suspension dates: 13 October 2021 to 19 October 2021. CAPTAIN AND MASTER may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer S G Tarry advised. d) AL MUTHANA (AUS) (S Khumalo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
