THE STARTER REPORTED: a) GREEN DREAM (E Ngwane) was difficult to load, reared over in the stalls, removed, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and withdrawn. b) COZY DOT COM (*K Strydom), UNCONDITIONAL LOVE (C Zackey) and BIRDWATCHER (S Khumalo) were restless in the stalls, removed, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and were declared fit to race. c) GOLDEN ARCHER (D Dillon) was restless in the stalls and rushed the front gates. d) PEANUT BUTTER (T Godden) was restless in the stalls. e) COZY DOT COM (*K Strydom) was squeezed out shortly after the start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) In view of the Starter's report with regard to GREEN DREAM (E Ngwane), this mare's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and it is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 14.10.21 to the 20.10.21. GREEN DREAM may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer L Crawford will be advised. (SL) b) PEANUT BUTTER (T Godden) raced wide around the turn and into the straight. c) BIRDWATCHER (S Khumalo) shifted out away from the crop in the concluding stages. d) Jockey C Zackey signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 58.10.2, read in conjunction with Guideline M, in that he misused his crop by striking the horse UNCONDITIONAL LOVE more than 12 times in the entire race. In assessing penalty, the Board considered the number of times (14) Jockey C Zackey struck the horse UNCONDITIONAL LOVE, the distance over which and manner in which he used his crop, the fact that he won the race and his record (0) in relation to this Rule. Accordingly, a penalty of a fine of R1000 was imposed. e) UNCONDITIONAL LOVE (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
