THE STARTER REPORTED: a) JET CAPTAIN was unruly in the stalls, injuring himself and was subsequently scratched by the Course Veterinary Surgeon. The starting stall certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn. Trainer C Spies advised (LS). b) LONG EATON (S Brown) was restless in the stalls and thereafter slow losing two lengths. Trainer C Spies was advised to reschool this gelding prior to his next engagement (LS). c) CASTLE OF GLASS (D De Gouveia) jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls. d) EARL OF CARDIGAN (C Zackey) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. e) ABBACADABRA (G Lerena) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. f) FRENCH REBEL (W Kennedy) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) BROADWAY TUNE (*P Mxoli) shifted out away from the crop from the 400m. b) MUSICAL KISS (*C F Dicken) took an awkward stride at the 200m. c) In view of the Starter's report with regard to JET CAPTAIN, this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading with a companion. Suspension dates: 19th October 2021 to 25th October 2021. JET CAPTAIN may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer C Spies was advised. d) EYES ON TIGER (M Yeni), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer P F Matchett advised (GF). e) BACK TO BASICS (N Klink), placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer B Webber advised (RH). JOCKEY CHANGES: None.
