THE STARTER REPORTED: a) DESERT PRIDE (L Hewitson), I DREAM OF GENIE (C Zackey), LITTLE RAIN (M Yeni) and TWELVE OAKS (G Lerena) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) In the concluding stages, MIDNIGHT GEM (*J R Syster) was carried in marginally by BAT OUT OF HELL (C Maujean), which hung in from the 200m. b) Jockey R Danielson reported that he felt something amiss with HEY GORGEOUS in running and he did not persevere with his riding from the 400m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) Jockey G Lerena reported that TWELVE OAKS did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. d) I DREAM OF GENIE (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
