THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PANZANELLA (K de Melo) and BORN TO BE QUEEN (G Behr) jumped slow, losing one length and thereafter were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) WILDEST DREAMS (G Cheyne) cast her left front shoe while proceeding to the start which had to be replaced, causing a delay. b) At the 200m YOUNG LOVE (B Fayd'Herbe), which raced green and was hanging out, was awkwardly placed on the inside of PHEDRA (D Ashby), was steadied and directed outwards to continue its run. c) JERUSALEMJERUSALEM (A Domeyer), which raced green, was continually held up for a clear run until approaching the 200m. d) Leaving the 200m FALLO ANCORA (R Fourie) had to be steadied away from the heels of THRILLA (K Steyn), which raced green, shifted out and was immediately straightened. e) APOLLO MOON (C Bantam) and SHORT SHARP SHOCK (G Lerena) raced green. f) Jockey L Mxothwa, the rider of TAMIL TIGER, reported he felt something amiss with this filly. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine. g) Jockey K de Melo, the rider of PANZANELLA, reported this filly changed stride continually in running.
