THE STARTER REPORTED: a) PRIDE OF PARIS (*D B Geerthsen) jumped outwards leaving the stalls and thereafter slow losing two lengths. b) FLYING GRACE (*R A Venniker) and TINDER DRY (*K A Brewer) were slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Approaching the 1200m, SECRET IS OURS (*K Strydom) which commenced to over-race, was steadied off the heels of WATUSI (*M H Zuma). This resulted in BLUE MOON CITY (*X Jacobs) which rolled in, having to steady. As a consequence, IMMEASURABLE (*J Solomons) which proved difficult to settle, was switched out to avoid running onto the heels of BLUE MOON CITY which resulted in BALL ROLLING being carried out wide around the remainder of the turn and into the straight. b) WATUSI (*M H Zuma) hung in from the 400m. c) BLUE MOON CITY (*X Jacobs), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee M Peter advised (LN). Apprentice Jacobs has ridden his 20th winner and with effect from tomorrow 22 October 2021, only claims a 2,5kg allowance. d) TINDER DRY (*K A Brewer), placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
