THE STARTER REPORTED: a) RIGHT CHOICE (+A Feni) and FLAME FLOWER (+S Mosia) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. b) GIRL SCOUT (+P Mlangeni) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) ETERNAL LIFE (+I Lukhele) hung in from the 600m to the 400m. b) Workrider G Lahoud reported that SKYE VIEW did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) Workrider S Mosia was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that he misused his crop by striking FLAME FLOWER more than twelve times in the entire race. Workrider Mosia signed an Admission of Guilt and is suspended from riding in two Workrider races. Dates of Suspension: 6 November 2021 and 18 November 2021. When assessing the penalty, the Board took into consideration the number of strikes and the manner in which Workrider Mosia used his crop. d) FLAME FLOWER (+S Mosia), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer P A Peter advised (RS). WORKRIDER CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) SCOTTADITO raced with a compression mask on (declared 26 October 2021 at 09H15). THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) SKYE VIEW examined post-race, nothing obvious detected. b) JO LOVES not striding out right front and coughing. c) IMAGE CONTROL fatigued and in season. d) GIRL SCOUT blowing.
