Suspension dates: 29 October 2021 to 4 November 2021. PORTRAYAL may not be presented for repassing during this period. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) ZEUS (G Lerena) hung out from the 400m. e) COMING IN HOT Jockey B Nyawo briefly dropped his left-side rein at the 300m. f) TOUCHED BY STARS (M van Rensburg) shifted out away from the crop from the 300m. g) Jockey G Lerena was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that he misused his crop by striking ZEUS more than twelve times in the entire race. Jockey Lerena signed an Admission of Guilt and a fine of R1500 was imposed. When assessing the penalty, the Board took into consideration the number of times Jockey Lerena used his crop as well as his recent record with regard to this Rule and Guideline. h) ZEUS (G Lerena), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
