THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BELLE OMBRE (N Klink), CAPE BOUQUET (Wes Marwing) and RISKY BUSINESS (G Lerena) were slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) RISKY BUSINESS proved difficult cantering the start and had to be led by a Handler. Trainer S J Gray was advised that should this filly behave in a similar manner in future, she may be suspended. b) The pressure halter on SPECIAL PLEA (D Schwarz) became detached at the 200m. c) UBIQUITAS (M Yeni) shifted out away from the crop from the 150m. d) Jockey D Schwarz reported that he felt something amiss with SPECIAL PLEA in running and did not persevere with his riding from the 150m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) BELLE OMBRE (N Klink) shifted out away from the crop in the concluding stages. f) Apprentice J R Syster reported that he felt something amiss with BAMBOLEO in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. g) Jockey B Nyawo reported that I AM ROYAL changed stride continuously in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. h) WHAT GIVES (S Khumalo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer S J Gray advised (LN).
