THE STARTER REPORTED A) DOUBLE CHECK was slow into stride. B) SILVER SLIPPERS was stubborn loading. The starting stall certificate for this filly is withdrawn. C) ROYAL COUNTLESS was slow away and lost 2 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED A) SILVER SLIPPERS (T Gould) over-raced in the early stages. B) Approaching the 900m, Jockey S Naidoo (COLORAMA) was dislodged when running onto and clipping the heels of SILVER SLIPPERS (T Gould) which was steadied in anticipation of running onto the heels of LADONNA MIA (G Cheyne). C) ROUTE SIXTY SIX (W Kennedy) was hanging in from the 400m. D) DRIVE BY (C Zackey) which was encouraged forward to set a prominent pace compounded badly in the concluding stages. E) In view of the Starter's report with regard to SILVER SLIPPERS (T Gould), this filly's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and she is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as she proves tractable loading into the stalls. Suspension dates: 30 October 2021 to 05 November 2021 both days included. SILVER SLIPPERS may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer W G C Miller was advised. F) Jockey R Fourie signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that he misused his crop by striking the horse DOUBLE CHECK more than 12 times in the entire race. A penalty of a R1500 fine was imposed. G) The winner DOUBLE CHECK was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis, Stable Employee Z Xamle acting on behalf of Trainer J S Snaith advised (LM). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES A) ROUTE SIXTY SIX raced without blinkers (08:07 - 28/10/2021). B) SILVER SLIPPERS raced equipped with a compression mask (08:43 - 25/10/2021).
