THE STARTER REPORTED: a) VICTORIA PAIGE (L Hewitson) refused to load. The Starting Stall Certificate for this mare has been withdrawn. b) MISS ELEGANCE (C Zackey) and VELD FLOWER (R Munger) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) In view of the Starter's report with regard to VICTORIA PAIGE, this mare has been suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of thirty days (30) and until such time as she proves tractable loading and jumping on terms with a companion on a raceday. Suspension dates: 31 October 2021 to 29 November 2021. VICTORIA PAIGE may not be presented for repassing during this period. Trainer S G Tarry advised (GT). b) In view of the performance of HEART STWINGS (W Kennedy), (betting 7/2, distance 9,50 lengths), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. c) Jockey R Munger was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that he misused his crop by striking VELD FLOWER more than twelve times in the entire race. Jockey Munger signed an Admission of Guilt and a fine of R750 was imposed. d) BOLD FORTUNE (D De Gouveia), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
