BOLD EAGLE pulled its right front shoe en-route to the start which was attended to by the course farrier. This caused a delay to the start of this Race. The Clerk of Scales and Jockey Strydom, the rider of DOWN TO ZERO, and Jockey Murray, the rider of ORAVAR, were spoken to regarding the requirement of the sleeves of their colour silks being fully extended to the wrist. They were advised to take the necessary measures to ensure that this instruction is adhered to in races in future. PINNACLE PEAK raced wide around the turn and into the straight. Thereafter Jockey Danielson reported that he felt something amiss with PINNACLE PEAK in running. ORAVAR shifted both ways away from the crop from the 300m. GIMME A WAVE was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning PINNACLE PEAK, this gelding is suspended from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority for a period of sixty days. STARFLASH raced equipped with steel shoes. Vet: PINNACLE PEAK - bilateral epistaxis, 60-day suspension. Scratched: TALKTOTHESTARS - off feed. SILVER MASTER - swollen left front.
