THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LAST CHEER (*J Solomons) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) FRANKLIN (D Schwarz) jumped outwards leaving the stalls. c) DOUBLE REWARD (R Munger), LIVERPOOL LEGEND (C Maujean) and TINDER DRY (J Penny) were slow losing one length. d) SAFFRON RAIN (*J R Syster) was slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey R Munger reported that he felt something amiss with DOUBLE REWARD in the pull-up area and dismounted immediately. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. b) In view of the performance of KEEPINGTHEPEACE (G Lerena), (distance 5,50 lengths, betting 11/2), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) Apprentice J Solomons reported that LAST CHEER made an abnormal respiratory noise in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this mare. d) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report, DOUBLE REWARD is suspended indefinitely in terms of Rule 93.1. Veterinary report required prior to entry. DOUBLE REWARD is required to perform a gallop to the satisfaction of the NHA veterinary department prior to her next engagement. e) OPERA GLASS (S Khumalo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Stable Employee S Keswa, acting on behalf of Trainer S Moffatt, advised (GF). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) CONSOL QUEEN was ridden by Jockey M Yeni (declared 2 November 2021 at 07H56).
