THE STARTER REPORTED: a) OLYMPIC SILK (R Munger) and DUTCHESSBURNEDETTE (C Zackey) were slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) In view of the performance of GO DREAM MACHINE (G Lerena), (distance 8,75 lengths, betting 11/2), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. When afforded the opportunity to place on record any factors which may have accounted for the poor performance of GO DREAM MACHINE, Jockey G Lerena explained that his instructions were to race from a handier position in today's race. In his opinion, these tactics did not suit GO DREAM MACHINE and he has advised Trainer D Nieuwenhuizen to adopt similar race tactics to those of her race on the 4th of October 2021, where she came from off the pace and finished the race off strongly b) Jockey R Munger reported that OLYMPIC SILK returned with a head injury. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) DUTCHESSBURNEDETTE (C Zackey), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer M N Houdalakis advised (GF). d) RABIA THE REBEL (M Yeni), placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer B Webber advised (MduP). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) GYPSY MAGIC was ridden by Apprentice J Solomons who claimed a 1,5kg allowance (declared 2 November 2021 at 07H56). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) GO DREAM MACHINE raced with a compression mask (declared 2 November 2021 at 07H20). THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) GO DREAM MACHINE examined post race, nothing obvious detected. b) OLYMPIC SILK mouth injury THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS. DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: None.
