THE STARTER REPORTED: a) LAIRD OF BREEDON (R Munger) jumped inwards leaving the stalls. b) MOTOWN MAGIC (K Matsunyane) was stubborn loading. The starting stall certificate for this colt has been withdrawn. Assistant Trainer A Ndzilana, acting on behalf of Trainer M F de Kock, advised (GT). THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey R Munger felt something amiss with LAIRD OF BREEDON in the concluding stages and eased this gelding out of the race. b) In view of the Starter's report with regard to MOTOWN MAGIC, this colt's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading with a companion. Suspension dates: 3 November 2021 to 9 November 2021. MOTOWN MAGIC may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Assistant Trainer A Ndzilana, acting on behalf of Trainer M F de Kock, advised. c) TWIN TURBO (D Schwarz), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer F P Habib advised (GF). JOCKEY CHANGES: a) WESTERN FORT was ridden by Apprentice J Solomons who claimed a 1,5kg allowance (declared 2 November 2021 at 08H27). b) OYSTER KING was ridden by Jockey G Lerena (declared 2 November 2021 at 10H07). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) LADY AMHERST raced equipped with a cornell collar (declared 5 November 2019). b) LAIRD OF BREEDON raced with a compression mask (declared 27 October 2021 at 09H43). THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) LAIRD OF BREEDON broke down right front. Humanely euthanased. Specimens collected for analysis.
