THE STARTER REPORTED: a) During the loading process, FANTASY FLOWER (*P Mxoli) nudged the front gates open resulting in GOLDEN ASPEN (J Sampson) breaking open the front gate. The two gates were reset. b) SPACE RACE (*C F Dicken) and GAL GADOT (*X Jacobs) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) FANTASY FLOWER (*P Mxoli) hung out from the 200m. b) Jockey M Yeni reported that he felt something amiss with CAPRI GOLD in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. c) Apprentice C F Dicken reported that he felt something amiss with SPACE RACE in running and he did not persevere with his riding from the 300m. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. d) SAMUEL SALT (C Habib), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer C Binda advised (AH).
