THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FLY BY (A Marcus) was restless in the stalls and slow into stride. b) PARISIENNE GIRL (A Andrews) jumped slow, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. c) BITE MY LIP (B Fayd'Herbe) fly jumped as the start was effected, losing one length and thereafter was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey A Marcus, the rider of FLY BY, reported this filly choked up in running. The veterinary surgeon was requested to examine. b) GIVERNY, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer DM Kannemeyer was advised.
