PEGA D'ORO was reluctant to load. READY TO RUMBLE jumped outwards losing 1 length. VAR'S BOY and HORATIUS were slow losing 1 length. In view of the report from the Starter regarding PEGA D'ORO, Assistant Trainer Woodruff will be advised to have PEGA D'ORO re-schooled before his next engagement. BLACK BELT pulled hard in the early stages and refused to settle until the 600m. The saddle on SUPER SILVANO slipped backwards shortly after the start. CAPTAIN GARETT raced awkwardly on the bend and carried NORFOLK PINE and PSYCHEDELIC outwards. Thereafter NORFOLK PINE and PSYCHEDELIC raced wide on the bend without cover. READY TO RUMBLE was held up and forced to switch outwards to continue his run. Approaching the 100m BRANDENBURG shifted in slightly and brushed the hindquarters of SIX DEGREES which was turned slightly. As a result of this brush BRANDENBURG shifted out slightly away from SIX DEGREES. Simultaneously SUPER SILVANO shifted in at 100m. As a consequence of these two movements BRANDENBURG was forced to ease losing position when awkwardly placed between SUPER SILVANO and SIX DEGREES. Jockeys C Orffer and L Mxothwa appeared before the board and shown the video of this incident. When assessing this incident with regard to negligence the Board took into account both movements and the inability of Jockey Orffer to shift his weight due to the saddle slip. As a consequence no rider could be held responsible for the interference suffered by BRANDENBURG at the 100m. Trainer Woodruff was charged with a contravention in that she failed to have the passport for PREGA available for inspection prior to this horse running in the race. Trainer Woodruff signed an admission of guilt for a Warning. SUPER SILVANO was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. READY TO RUMBLE raced unshod all round.
