THE STARTER REPORTED: a) CAPTAIN SEAGER (W Kennedy) was restless in the stalls and lost 3 lengths. b) HAPPY ARISTOCRAT (G Wright) kicked in the stalls and lost 2 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) A member of the Stipendiary Board called a race review into the start pertaining to CAPTAIN SEAGER (W Kennedy) drawn in stall gate 1. In this regard, it was established that, as the start was effected, CAPTAIN SEAGER (W Kennedy) was restless in the stalls and lost 3 lengths. In reviewing this incident, the Board was of the view that, any distance lost by this gelding was as a result of its own behaviour therefore, no further action was taken and CAPTAIN SEAGER (W Kennedy) was deemed to be a runner. b) CAPTAIN SEAGER (W Kennedy) and PARKTOWN (S Brown) over-raced in the early and middle stages. c) Into the first turn, FERRARI ICE (K de Melo), TOM BOMBADIL (S Khumalo) and SILVER STARDUST (*R Venniker) came together and made contact when awkwardly placed between BERNIE'S DREAM (*J Jacobs) and RADAMES (D De Gouveia). In assessing this incident, the Board was of the view that the proximity of the incident to the start and the first turn, the minor nature and multiple movements involved in this incident did not warrant a charge of any nature to any of the riders involved. However, Jockey D De Gouveia (RADAMES) appeared before the Board, was shown the patrol films of the race and advised to be more decisive and ensure that when attempting to obtain a forward position in the running, so that other runners are not inconvenienced by his movement. d) Apprentice J Jacobs (BERNIE'S DREAM) dropped his right side rein in the concluding stages. e) RADAMES (D De Gouveia) was hanging in, in the concluding stages. f) SPRING HIGH (S Veale), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Assistant Trainer S Ferrie acting on behalf of Trainer D Drier advised (SC). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) FINAL DESTINY was ridden by Jockey A Mgudlwa (advised 05.11.21/15h23). b) DOUBLE GEMINI was ridden by Apprentice D Geerthsen (claiming 4kg). Reserve runner (advised 06.11.21/7h13). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) No report. SCRATCHINGS : a) NOBLE SNIPER : Lame right hind (Trainer - 05.11.21/16h10).
