THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) MASHARI (A Marcus) was restless in the stalls, removed, examined by the Veterinary Surgeon and was declared fit to race.
b) PRINCE TYRION (*T Gumede) was stubborn to load.
c) DESOLATE ROAD (S Khumalo) and WOODSTOCK FESTIVAL (K Sakayi) were restless in the stalls.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED :
a) At the 450m, Apprentice T Gumede was dislodged from PRINCE TYRION. As a consequence of this incident, DESOLATE ROAD (S Khumalo) had to take evasive action and FLYING PETER (K de Melo) which struck Apprentice Gumede was eased out of the race immediately by Jockey K de Melo. As a result, MASHARI (A Mgudlwa) and PINK FLOYD (T Godden) had to take evasive action to order to avoid FLYING PETER (K de Melo). The Stipendiary Board conducted an inspection of the saddle of Apprentice T Gumede and it was subsequently established that the fittings which attach the stirrup iron to the saddle became detached on the right side of the saddle.
b) LUNARCAM (S Veale) over-raced in the early and middle stages. Thereafter, this gelding compounded in the concluding stages. Trainer D Drier will be requested to report back to the Stipendiary Board on the condition of this gelding on return to stables.
c) In view of the Starter's report with regard to PRINCE TYRION, this gelding's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and it is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 08.11.21 to the 14.11.21. PRINCE TYRION may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer M Dixon will be advised. (SN)
d) DESOLATE ROAD (S Khumalo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A Rivalland advised (ML).
JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES :
a) FAUSTINO raced with a compression mask.
b) LUNARCAM raced with a compression mask.
c) PINK FLOYD raced with a compression mask.
d) MASHARI was ridden by Jockey A Mgudlwa.

THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED :
a) FAUSTINO : Brush wound right hind.
b) LUNARCAM : Returned post-race having cast the right front shoe.
c) FLYING PETER : Returned post-race having cast the right front shoe and swelling over the right front tendon.
d) WOODSTOCK FESTIVAL : Over-reach right front.
SCRATCHINGS :
a) HOOVES OF TROY : Lame right front (Trainer - 07.11.21/7h10). Rule 53.5 applies.
