THE STARTER REPORTED: a) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) PEANUT BUTTER (T Godden) and GOLDEN ARCHER (L Mohapi) over-raced in the early and middle stages. b) BELL JAR (G Wright) over-raced in the early stages. Thereafter, this mare compounded in the straight. In view of this report the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. c) At the 200m, EVENING PRIMROSE (S Khumalo) ducked out away from the crop. d) An Inquiry will be opened in order to establish why WINTERTIME (M V'Rensburg) had to ease at the 200m. e) Jockey K de Melo reported that HEARTSEASE made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) In view of the performance of INDIGO MOON (*R Venniker) (12.15 lengths, 9/2 in the betting) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. g) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning BELL JAR, and in terms of Rule 93.1, this mare is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Trainer W A Nel will be advised. (Suspension dates : 11.11.21 - 09.01.22, bdi) h) JACQUELINE (S Veale), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
