THE STARTER REPORTED: a) COURANTE (K Matsunyane) was restless in the stalls. b) TWICE A MIRACLE (C Zackey) and MAMA TEMBU (*J Solomons) were slow losing one length. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) When racing green, COURANTE (K Matsunyane) shifted sharply both ways away from the crop from the 300m. Assistant Trainer A Ndzilana, acting on behalf of Trainer M F de Kock, was advised to take the necessary measures to ensure this filly runs on a straight course in future. b) NAMIBSROOS (C Maujean) and RISKY BUSINESS (G Lerena) over-raced in the early stages. c) OCEANS PRIDE (S Khumalo) hung out from the 250m. d) In view of the performance of RISKY BUSINESS (G Lerena), (distance 8,00 lengths, betting 9/4), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this filly. e) BURMESE TIARA (C Habib), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
