DON PIERRO (AUS) continually reared in the stalls. The starting stalls certificate for this gelding has been withdrawn. WOODLAND'S FOREST and TOUGH CHOICE were slow into stride. In view of the Starter's report with regard to DON PIERRO (AUS), this gelding was suspended for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable in the starting stalls. DON PIERRO (AUS) may not be presented for repassing during this period. At approximately the 300m Jockey Danielson felt something amiss with SLAY THE DRAGON in running and eased this gelding out of the race. In view of this report, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine SLAY THE DRAGON. In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning SLAY THE DRAGON, this gelding is suspended from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority for an indefinite period. A veterinary certificate for SLAY THE DRAGON must be submitted to the Veterinary Department of the NHA, before it can be entered for a race. Such certificate should outline the veterinarian's clinical findings, treatment administered and confirmation that the horse has been examined before and after a racing gallop and is fit to race. Jockey Yeni reported that FLAME FELLA was uncomfortable behind and changed strides continually in the concluding stages. Trainer Sage will be requested to report back on the condition of FLAME FELLA on return to the stables. An inquiry will be opened into Jockey Yeni's ride of FLAME FELLA in the concluding stages of the race. Jockey Munger reported that he felt something amiss with EARTH SKY in running. MASTER AND MAN was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Vet: SLAY THE DRAGON - lame right front. Recommended indefinite suspension for a full veterinary report. FLAME FELLA and EARTH SKY - examined post-race, nothing obvious detected.
