THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) ESTIVAL (S Veale) over-raced in the early stages. b) BROADWAY (G Lerena) over-raced in the early and middle stages. c) WITHOUT DOUBT (M V'Rensburg) shifted in away from the crop in the concluding stages. d) PRETTIER IN PINK (S Moodley) was hanging in, in the concluding stages. e) Apprentice K Strydom reported that EDGE OF ETERNITY made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. f) In view of the performance of SOUR DIESEL (S Khumalo) (24.15 lengths, 40/1 in the betting) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. g) CIRO (A Arries), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
