THE STARTER REPORTED: a) KINGSMEADS KRYSTL (*R Venniker) was difficult and stubborn to load. Trainer A Wright will be advised to re-school this filly. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) An Inquiry will be opened in order to establish why PINCH ME (*K Brewer) clipped heels, stumbled and lost position leaving the 1200m. b) At the 1100m, RECKLESS LOVE (*J Jacobs) clipped the heels of PINCH ME (*K Brewer) which clipped the heels of RUBY SLIPPERS (*M Zuma) which shifted in when it over-raced in the early and middle stages. Apprentice M Zuma signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 62.2.7, in that as the rider of RUBY SLIPPERS, he failed to ensure that he did not cause interference to the horses RECKLESS LOVE (*J Jacobs) and PINCH ME (*K Brewer) at the 1100m. Accordingly, a penalty of a suspension from riding in races for a period of 7 days was imposed. (Suspension Dates : 23.11.21 to the 29.11.21, bdi) c) In view of the performances of ORANGE BOWL (*K Strydom) (8.10 lengths, 4/1 in the betting) and PINCH ME (*K Brewer) (9.50 lengths, 25/1 in the betting) the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. d) MONTFORT (*X Jacobs), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer D I Campbell advised (ML). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) ABBEY WOOD raced without blinkers (advised 22.11.21/8h57). b) CORDOBESA was ridden by Apprentice D Geerthsen (claiming 4kg) (advised 21.11.21/9h40). RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED : a) ORANGE BOWL : Not striding out left hind. b) PINCH ME : Coughing and cut into left hind. c) RUBY SLIPPERS : Returned post-race having cast the left front shoe.
