THE STARTER REPORTED A) MAZARINSGLOBALICON was slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED A) Jockey S Khumalo reported that STAY THE COURSE made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. B) Jockey L Mxothwa reported that he felt something amiss with ARIZONA SKY in the running. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. C) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning ARIZONA SKY (L Mxothwa), and in terms of Rule 93.1, this gelding is suspended for 60 days from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority. Trainer S B Kotzen was advised. D) Apprentice K Strydom signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that he misused his crop by striking the horse ON THE WARPATH more than 12 times in the entire race. A penalty of a R1500 fine was imposed. E) Jockey X Ndlovu signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that he misused his crop by striking the horse SUPER FUN more than 12 times in the entire race. A penalty of a R1000 fine was imposed. F) The winner ON THE WARPATH was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis, Trainer Z Oosthuizen advised (LM).
