THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) DELLA'S SWORD (L Mxothwa) reacted and broke through the front of the starting stalls when THE HEAT IS ON (S Mbhele) reared and got its front legs into the adjacent stall of DELLA'S SWORD (L Mxothwa) and thereafter fell over backwards. THE HEAT IS ON (S Mbhele) was released from the stalls, examined by the course veterinary surgeon and withdrawn, causing a delay.
b) TOUGH COOKIE (G van Niekerk) jumped awkwardly outwards and thereafter was slow into stride.
c) HELENCANUCOPE (K de Melo) jumped slow, losing one length.
d) MASTERFUL LOVER (D Ashby) jumped slow, losing two lengths.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) At the 400m IRISH WILDFLOWER (L Tarentaal), which raced green, was momentarily inconvenienced when racing tight between DIVINE DYNASTY (A Marcus) and FATEFULLY YOURS (D Schwarz) and was directed inwards to secure clear running.
b) Jockey K de Melo (HELENCANUCOPE) reported this filly raced with her tongue over the bit.
c) In view of the report from the starter regarding THE HEAT IS ON (S Mbhele), this filly's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and she is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as she proves to be tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 25/11/2021 to 01/12/2021 inclusive). THE HEAT IS ON may not be presented for re-passing during this period.
d) TWILIGHT HOUR, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer AN Marcus was advised. (TJ)
