THE STARTER REPORTED: a) JET BLAST (S Brown) refused to jump. The Starting Stall Certificate for this colt has been withdrawn. b) FUTURE CURRENCY (M van Rensburg) and SOUTHERN BLAZE (D De Gouveia) were slow into stride. c) KHALEESI'S GOLD (J Penny) stumbled leaving the stalls. d) CAPTAIN OF GRIT (S Khumalo) and JP TWO THOUSAND (C Zackey) reared in the stalls. Assistant Trainer T Dawson and Assistant Trainer A Peter were advised to reschool these horses prior to their next engagements. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) In view of the Starter's report with regard to JET BLAST, this colt has been suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as he proves tractable loading and jumping on terms with a companion. Suspension dates: 26 November 2021 to 2 December 2021. JET BLAST may not be presented for repassing during this period. Trainer S J Gray advised (JB). b) At approximately the 50m, Jockey R Danielson whilst attempting to straighten WILDEYE which hung in from the 200m and WEST POINT (R Munger) which shifted out away from the crop, came together and brushed. An Objection was lodged by Trainer J Janse van Vuuren on behalf of the second placed horse WILDEYE (R Danielson) against the winner WEST POINT (R Munger) on the grounds of interference at approximately the 50m. The Objection Board, after giving regard to the evidence put forward by the connections of both horses and after reviewing the patrol films of the incident, was of the opinion that both WILD EYE and WEST POINT had contributed to this incident and could not be comfortably satisfied that the result had been affected, and therefore overruled the Objection and allowed the Judges result to stand. Trainer van Vuuren's deposit was refunded. c) WEST POINT (R Munger), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer A B Fortune advised (LN). JOCKEY CHANGES: None. RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER: a) MADDY BLUE raced with club colours (black and blue). Trainer P F Matchett was issued with an Admission of Guilt for a contravention of Rule 8.3.1 in that he did not have available the registered colours of the owner/s of the horse MADDY BLUE. Stable Employee J Chengurai acting on behalf of Trainer Matchett signed the Admission of Guilt and a fine of R250 was imposed. b) TRAVIS raced with club colours (blue and black). Trainer A G Laird was issued with an Admission of Guilt for a contravention of Rule 8.3.1 in that he did not have available the registered colours of the owner/s of the horse TRAVIS. Stable Employee B Mngeni acting on behalf of Trainer Laird signed the Admission of Guilt and a penalty of a Warning was imposed. THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED: a) FUTURE CURRENCY brush wound right hind. b) KHALEESI'S GOLD not striding out left front. c) TRAVIS not striding out left front. d) PRECIOUS METAL brush wound right hind. SCRATCHED: a) COMING IN HOT off feed and abnormal temperature (Trainer) (Rule 53.5 applies). DISQUALIFIED / DECLARED NON-RUNNER: None.
