THE STARTER HAD NO REPORTS. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) Jockey S Khumalo reported that he felt something amiss with INTO THE FUTURE in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. Trainers B/Y Botes Vosloo will be advised to report back to the Board on the condition of this gelding on return to stables. b) Jockey C Zackey was charged with a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that he misused his crop by striking SUITED CONNECTOR more than twelve times in the entire race. Jockey Zackey signed an Admission of Guilt and was fined R1500. When assessing the penalty, the Board took into consideration the number of times as well as Jockey Zackey's recent record with regard to this Rule and Guideline. c) FROMHERETOETERNITY (*K A Brewer), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.
