THE STARTER REPORTED A) SNOW REPORT was stubborn loading, slow away and lost 1 length. B) REGIMENTAL was slow away and lost 1 length. C) BIG BAY was stubborn loading. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED A) VIKING MOON (S Khathi) brushed the inside running rail at approximately the 800m. B) REGIMENTAL (G Cheyne) was hanging in from the 150m. C) Jockey X Ndlovu reported that FOREIGN SOURCE made an abnormal respiratory noise in the running. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. D) Apprentice Y Ramzan signed an admission of guilt for a contravention of Rule 58.10.2 (read with Guideline M on the use of the crop) in that he misused his crop by striking the horse BIG BAY more than 12 times in the entire race. A penalty of a R750 fine was imposed. E) Trainer A C Greeff's attention was drawn to the provisions of Rule 10.5.7 pertaining to VIKING MOON (S Khathi) not having raced for 120 days or more at the time of entries.
