THE STARTER REPORTED: a) BACKSTOP (K Sakayi) was difficult and stubborn to load. b) LADY SERENA (K de Melo) and SEA EAGLE (S Moodley) lost 1 length, respectively. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED : a) Jockeys G Lerena, W Kennedy and C Zackey did not ride in this race due to flight complications as result of the lightning delay. b) In view of the Starter's report with regard to BACKSTOP (K Sakayi), this filly's starting stall certificate is withdrawn and it is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 for a period of 7 days and until such time as it proves tractable with a companion. Suspension dates: 29.11.21 to the 05.12.21. BACKSTOP may not be presented for re-passing during this period. Trainer A J Rivalland was advised. (MS) c) BACKSTOP (K Sakayi) over-raced in the early and middle stages. d) At the 1100m, HOT MONEY (L Mohapi) which over-raced in the early stages, had to ease when awkwardly placed on the heels of RED ROSA (E Ngwane) which rolled out when it over-raced and GRUE OF ICE (D De Gouveia) which rolled in. e) In the concluding stages, LADY SERENA (K de Melo) was carried out by FAMILY FAVOURITE (T Godden) which shifted out away from the crop. f) Trainer G H van Zyl will be questioned regarding the improved performance of FREEDOM'S FIRE. g) FREEDOM'S FIRE (*R A Venniker), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES : a) HOT MONEY raced with cheek pieces (advised 28.11.21/8h08). b) BOOGIE SHOES raced with a compression mask. c) FREEDOM'S FIRE raced with a tongue tie (advised 27.11.21/17h49). d) BACKSTOP was ridden by Jockey K Sakayi (flight complications due to the delayed race times) RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER : a) Nil.
