THE STARTER REPORTED A) ROY'S SPIRIT was unruly at the start and dislodged Jockey S Khathi. B) FLOWER SELLER was unruly at the start, stubborn loading and nervous in the stalls. Trainer G D Smith was advised to re-school this filly prior to its next engagement. C) MISS ROSE was nervous in the stalls. D) JAFTA CAKE stood awkwardly in the stalls. E) COUNTESS CARTIER was nervous, jumped awkwardly leaving the stalls, was slow away and lost 3 lengths. F) GRAYSWOOD PINK was slow away and lost 3 lengths. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED A) FLOWER SELLER (*Y Ramzan) was reluctant to canter to the start and had to be led. Trainer G D Smith was advised that, in terms of Rule 93.2.4, this filly is suspended indefinitely until such time as it proves tractable whilst cantering to the start, with a companion on a race day. B) ROUTE SIXTY SIX (W Kennedy) over-raced in the early and middle stages. C) Jockey S Khathi reported that ROY'S SPIRIT choked up in the running. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. D) Jockeys K Minnie (CAPE DIAMOND) and C Zackey (WICHITA) reported that their respective mounts did not stride out freely in the running. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. E) The winner GRAYSWOOD PINK was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis, Trainer Z Oosthuizen advised (LM). F) The second placed horse RED RULES was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis, Assistant Trainer L Gila acting on behalf of Trainer K Naidoo advised (LM). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES A) RED RULES raced equipped with blinkers (10:23 - 27/11/2021). B) GRAYSWOOD PINK raced equipped with alumites front, unshod behind (08:59 - 26/11/2021). C) FLOWER SELLER raced equipped with a compression mask (09:51 - 24/11/2021). THERE WERE NO RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED A) CAPE DIAMOND overreach left fore fetlock. B) WICHITA not striding out right fore and right hind. C) ROY'S SPIRIT coughed post-race and cut into left hind. D) COUNTESS CARTIER and MISS ROSE coughed post-race. THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS
