THE STARTER REPORTED:
a) CASTLETOWN (D De Gouveia) and OCEAN WARRIOR (C Habib) were slow into stride.
b) TULLAMORE DEW (S Moodley) was slow losing one length.
THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED:
a) At approximately the 450m, LITTLE PRINCE (W Kennedy) which was hanging out, had to steady to avoid running onto the heels of SUPER EXCITED (M Yeni).
b) Jockey C Zackey (BALOUCHI) and Jockey S Moodley (TULLAMORE DEW) reported that their respective mounts made abnormal respiratory noises in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine these horses.
c) In view of the performance of PYROMANIAC (G van Niekerk), (betting 9/4, distance 8,50 lengths), the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this colt.
Trainer S G Tarry was requested to report back to the Board on the condition of this colt on return to
stables.
d) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning TULLAMORE DEW, and in terms of Rule 93.1,
this colt is suspended from racing for a period of sixty days in any race under the jurisdiction of the
National Horseracing Authority. Trainer P A Peter advised (NHA).
e) SAFE PASSAGE (S Khumalo), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for
analysis. Trainer M F de Kock advised (AH).
f) RED SAXON (B Fayd'Herbe), placed second, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis.

JOCKEY CHANGES:
