THE STARTER REPORTED: a) FATEFUL (O Noach) refused to jump and thereafter refused to gallop. b) Fair start. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) The Stewards reviewed the start of this race with regards to FATEFUL (O Noach) in stall gate 9 and established that this gelding had refused to jump and was not impeded in any way. Therefore, FATEFUL was declared a runner. b) FATEFUL (O Noach), which refused to jump and stood until the field had crossed the finish line, had to be unsaddled and led back to the parade ring. This precluded Jockey O Noach from weighing in as he had to be transported back to the parade ring. In terms of Rule 66.2 the Stewards were satisfied that FATEFUL would have carried the correct weight. c) In view of the report from the starter regarding FATEFUL (O Noach), this gelding's starting stall certificate has been withdrawn and he is suspended in terms of Rule 61.6.10 and until such time as he proves to be tractable to jump on terms and gallop with a companion. Suspension dates: 02/12/2021 to 08/12/2021 inclusive). FATEFUL may not be presented for re-passing during this period. d) T'CHALLA, the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer SJ Snaith was advised.
