THE STARTER REPORTED A) CASHING IN was nervous in the stalls. B) ELIZABETH SWANN was stubborn loading and kicked the back gate in the stalls. C) CRYSTAL CITY was stubborn loading. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED A) Shortly after the start, CASHING IN (W Kennedy) had to steady momentarily when awkwardly placed on the inside of ELIZABETH SWANN (J Mphanya) which raced green throughout. B) CHINNY ROSE (L Mxothwa) over-raced in the early and middle stages and thereafter, Jockey L Mxothwa felt something amiss with CHINNY ROSE in the running. The Course Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine. C) In view of the Veterinary Surgeon's report concerning ELIZABETH SWANN (J Mphanya), and in terms of Rule 93.1, this filly is suspended from racing in any race under the jurisdiction of the National Horseracing Authority for an indefinite period. In terms of Rule 49.7, a veterinary certificate for ELIZABETH SWANN must be submitted to the Veterinary Department of the National Horseracing Authority, before it can be entered for a race. ELIZABETH SWANN must also gallop for the NHRA veterinary department after which, if found fit to race, will be sent for specimen collection for analysis. Trainer G D Smith was advised. D) The winner EMERALD FLAME was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis, Trainer L Lotz advised (LM). JOCKEY / EQUIPMENT CHANGES A) CASHING IN raced equipped with a compression mask (09:52 - 29/11/2021). B) IRISH SEA raced equipped with a tongue tie (14:34 - 02/12/2021). C) CHINNY ROSE raced equipped alumites front, unshod behind (10:02 - 02/12/2021). D) ELIZABETH SWANN raced without a tongue (06:37 - 03/12/2021). THERE WERE NO RACE CARD CHANGES / OTHER THE VETERINARY SURGEON REPORTED A) FIRE AND FURY not striding out left fore. B) CHINNY ROSE tongue injury and abnormal respiratory noise. C) ELIZABETH SWANN lame right hind, indefinite suspension applies (Veterinary Surgeon's certificate required and must also gallop) THERE WERE NO SCRATCHINGS.
