THE STARTER REPORTED: a) KOOPA TROOPA (C Maujean) and KOOL BAIKAL (R Munger) were slow into stride. THE STIPENDIARY STEWARDS REPORTED: a) CODE ZERO (D De Gouveia) over-raced in the early stages. b) At approximately the 350m, GRIMALDI (*K A Brewer) was brushed in by KOOL BAIKAL (R Munger), which hung in from the 400m. c) GRIMALDI (*K A Brewer) compounded from the 300m. In view of this performance, the Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. d) Apprentice J R Syster (MADABOUT FASHION) accidentally dropped his crop at the 300m and thereafter MADABOUT FASHION commenced to hang in. e) Apprentice W Kennedy reported that he felt something amiss with ORUS APOLLO in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. f) Jockey M Khan reported that TECHNO SAVVY did not stride out freely in running. The Veterinary Surgeon was requested to examine this gelding. g) MADABOUT FASHION (*J R Syster), the winner, was selected for the taking of specimens for analysis. Trainer T Zackey advised (RS).
